The best festival makeup tip comes from our resident concert and event expert, and e.l.f. office manager, Kristin.

“Don’t wear foundation.”

“What?” Me, a confused and perplexed interviewer asked. “No foundation? To a concert?”

“My best makeup tip is to wear as little makeup as possible, and add a fun accent to make it look like you’re wearing a full face of makeup.”

Now if Kristin, an advanced, some may say expert concert goer has a festival makeup tip, I’m going to listen. She emptied her makeup bag and walked me through her Coachella routine, and here it is:

Step 1: Apply a liberal amount of Skin Illuminating Moisturizer SPF 15 all over the face, neck, and decolletage. “Any exposed skin gets a few pumps of this glowing goddess magic moisturizer- as a general rule.”

Step 2: Dab a thin amount of concealer under the eyes, around the nose, and on any areas of redness to brighten and conceal. Kristin’s favorite is the Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick for its high coverage and easy blendability.

Step 3: “Now comes the fun part!” She reaches into her makeup bag and pulls out an electric blur jar. “I trick everyone into thinking I’m wearing a full face of makeup by putting on pop of blue eyeliner all around my eyes. I love this gel eyeliner because it doesn’t budge, and I apply it with the mini brush it comes with!” She uses Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease. “Then I blink on a little Waterproof Mascara, and that’s it!”

Step 4: Lastly, she sets her look with a few spritz of Makeup Mist & Set Spray. “Seriously, my secret weapon. My makeup is bulletproof with this stuff.”
