As the seasons change, so should your skincare. Colder weather means dry, dehydrated skin- so long story short, step up your moisturizing game! No one likes dry, dull, flakey skin- especially under makeup. Not. fun.
There are three main things you can do to combat winter skin woes so your makeup looks radiant all year round: exfoliate, hydrate, and prep.
1. Exfoliate. Remove the dull layer of dry, dead skin by using a gentle exfoliator like our award-winning Gentle Peeling Exfoliant. This stuff is magical. Infused with tangerine, papaya, and licorice extracts, this exfoliator gives you the glow without any rough scrubbing.
2. Hydrate. Use a dollop of your favorite moisturizer after exfoliating to quench and protect the newly exposed layer of skin. We love the Water Droplet Balm for its unique texture (from balm to water- it’s amazing) and for the lightweight hydration it provides.
3. Prep. Seal in all that hydration and prepare the skin for makeup with our Prep & Hydrate Balm. This water-based stick instantly hydrates and smoothes the skin before makeup application- it can even replace your primer!
For additional moisture, hydrating masks are the perfect cold weather treat. What’s better than curling up with Netflix and hot chocolate for a well-deserved pampering sesh? You know we couldn’t finish this post without mentioning our beloved Hydrating Bubble Mask. That fizz tho. Apply it with our Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool if you’re feeling extra fancy.
That dry winter air doesn’t stand a chance!
